The Karachi Port handled 128,279 tonnes of liquid import cargo including 100,253 tonnes of import 28,026 tonnes of export cargo and 4,041 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 100,253 tonnes comprised of 24,305 tonnes of containerised cargo; 16,603 tonnes of bulk cargo; 27,584 tonnes of coal; 1,761 tonnes of MAP and 30,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.

The total export cargo of 28,026 tonnes comprised of 22,354 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,073 tonnes of bulk cargo and 4,599 tonnes of cement. Seven ships namely Steela, Tiran, Bunga Raya Satu, Leopard, Adriatic Arrow, Anke and APL Pusan sailed out to sea during the reported period.

Eleven vessels viz LTC Calvin P. Titus, APL Pusan, Al-Mariyah, Sima Sahba, Olympia, Leopard, Cos Fair, BBC Ohio, Alpha, Saeed and MT Swat are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Arnis and LTC Calvin P. Titus expected to sail on Tuesday, while four vessels viz MT Swat, Atrium, Olympia and BBC Ohio are expected to sail on Wednesday.

Four vessels viz Arnis, Bunga Raya Lima, Praia and Carmencita due to arrive on Tuesday, while four ships namely Hyundai Duke, Kota Handal, Queen Arrow-II and Fade-1 are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 66,350 tonnes of cargo includes 46,682 tonnes of import 19,668 tonnes of export cargo and 1,832 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 46,682 tonnes includes 26,719 tonnes of furnace oil; 1,632 tonnes of LPG; 12,466 tonnes of coal and 5,865 tonnes of containerised cargo.

The total export cargo of 19,668 tonnes includes 1,054 tonnes of rice; 1,322 tonnes of cement and 17,292 tonnes of containerised cargo. Four ships namely CV Maersk Georgia, CV Al-Sabahia, MT Malvern and MT Al-Anbariah sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning. Eight vessels viz CV Maersk Georgia, CV Al-Sabahia, MV Zenobia, MV Leopard-B, MT Al-Anbariah, MT Malvern, MT ST Kitts and MV Mara are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, furnace oil, LPG and coal respectively during last 24 hours.

A total number of five ships namely Nedlloyed Asia, Bow Octavia, Royal Emerald, Oriental Bridge and Antarctic carrying containers, palm oil, rice and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Three vessels viz CV Nedlloyed Asia, MT Antarctic and MT Bow Octavia carrying containers, chemicals and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

Oil tanker MT Chemstar King with palm oil due to arrive on Tuesday, while four more vessels viz CV ACX Salvia, CV CMA CGM Onyx, MV Angelia and MT Al-Soor-II are due to arrive on Wednesday. Three container ships namely HS Beethven, Lahore Express and Hanjin Los Angels are also due to arrive.
